Restricted Regions List (MONJI)

This page identifies countries/regions where MONJI is not offered due to legal, sanctions/export-control, or payment-provider restrictions.
It supplements the MONJI Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and may be updated from time to time without amending those documents.
For clarity, “not offered” applies to any individual or organization located in, organized under the laws of, having its principal place of business or billing address in, or ordinarily resident in the regions listed below, or where use is for the benefit of such regions.

How we enforce
- Signals: billing country/region (Stripe), IP geolocation, fraud/sanctions screening, KYC/contract information.
- Actions: onboarding declined; or access suspended/terminated with deletion of affected data where feasible, consistent with our Terms.
- VPN/Proxy: use that circumvents regional restrictions is not permitted.
Current restricted regions (grouped)
1) Legal Exclusions
- EEA (European Economic Area) — all EU Member States plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway
- United Kingdom
- Switzerland
- Mainland China (PRC) — Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, and Taiwan are not restricted
Basis: Data protection and local regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR/UK data protection regimes) and operational constraints.

2) Sanctions / Export-Controlled
- Cuba
- Iran
- North Korea
- Syria
- Russia (generally excluded; restrictions may vary by activity and counterparty)
Basis: International sanctions/export-control regimes and related compliance constraints.

3) Payment-Unsupported (Stripe Managed Payments)

Basis: Our payment processors do not support onboarding/settlement in these jurisdictions.

Notes & definitions
- Scope of exclusion: applies to direct use and to use for the benefit of operations primarily serving a restricted region (including by affiliates, contractors, or end users).
- Changes over time: payment-provider coverage and legal regimes can change. This page is the source of truth for current restrictions.
- No waiver: exceptions require our prior written approval; absence from this page does not guarantee eligibility.
- HK/Macau/Taiwan: explicitly not restricted for the purpose of this list.
